Itinerary

an assisted transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and relax for a while. Later, in the afternoon you will visit for darshan at Pashupatinath Temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, Pashupatinath Temple is a sacred Hindu Temple lying on the banks of River Bagmati. The temple lies 3 km northwest of Kathmandu in a village. In the evening, attend the briefing of the program.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel and have a sound sleep in your cozy bed.

The morning of day 2 is scheduled for Yatra Preparation. Have a healthy breakfast in the morning and then you have time to explore the city on your own. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight to Nepalgunj. On arrival, you will have an assisted transfer to the hotel. Complete the check-in formalities in the hotel and relax. Nepalgunj is the western border town of Nepal and is quite popular among trekking enthusiasts. The day is at your leisure and you can spend it as per your liking. Admire the stunning scenery and delve into the scenic beauty of this amazing town.

Distance from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj: 364 km (flight)

Travel Time: 50 minutes (approx.)

On the 3rd day of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, after having breakfast you will check out from the hotel to proceed towards the airport. In the morning, you will fly to Simikot (3000 m) by fixed-wing plane and then to Hilsa (3700 m) by helicopter. Admire the breathtaking scenery during your helicopter ride. From the Hilsa helipad, you will board a vehicle to cross the border to drive to Purang (3800 m). This journey will take around 1 hour. and you will land in Tibet. When you arrive in Purang, you will be taken to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and relax.

Day 4 :
Purang

TWake up to a healthy breakfast and enjoy the day in Purang. The day is at your leisure and has been kept for acclimatization to the high altitude, which is an important step as you have to travel at high altitudes. In the evening, you can explore the town on your own. Have a delectable dinner in the hotel and enjoy a restful sleep in your room.

Start the day with a hearty meal and then pack your bags to proceed to the next destination. Check out from the hotel and you will have an assisted transfer to the highly revered Mansarovar Lake by road. This pristine lake lies at an altitude of 4500 m above sea level and the road journey takes approximately 3 hours.

On arrival at Mansarovar, take a dip in the holy waters of the lake. It is believed that by bathing in this lake one can wash away all his sins. Later on, perform Puja. You can also perform circumambulation of this sacred Lake. Once you complete all the rituals, move to the guest house. Savor a delectable meal and enjoy an overnight stay in a guesthouse.

Distance from Purang to Manasarovar: 105 km

Travel Time: 2 hours 20 minutes (approx.)

On the 6th day of the Kailash Yatra, after having breakfast you will board a vehicle to proceed towards Yamadwar, which is going to be around 2 hours. After reaching, get all set for a trek to Diraphuk, which is 4,760 m above sea level. This trek takes around 7 to 8 hours. While you are walking, admire the jaw-dropping scenery and soak in the serene environs. On reaching, check-in at the guesthouse and relax. The rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Have a delicious dinner and enjoy an overnight stay in Diraphuk.

Distance from Mansarovar to Yam Dwar: 80 km (approx.)

Travel Time: 2 hours (approx.)

Wake up to a beautiful day amidst the mighty Himalayas and have a healthy breakfast. Later, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Zuthulphuk via Dolma La Pass. You will trek to Zuthulphuk, which will take around 10 to 12 hours. Begin the trek early in the morning so that you will reach your destination by the end of the day without hassle. You will walk past the Dolma La Pass (5650 m). Treat your eyes to the wonderful surrounding views. In the evening, you arrive in Zuthulphuk. Complete the check-in formalities at the guesthouse and unwind.

Have a sound sleep after having a toothsome meal.

Distance from Diraphuk to Zuthulphuk: 22 km (trek)

Travel Time: 8 hours (approx.)

The day starts with a hearty meal and then you will embark on a trek to the revered Mani walls. Check out from your stay and proceed towards Darchen. It will take 3 to 4 hours to trek to Mani Walls. These walls are a collection of stone pebbles, plates, and rocks with holy inscriptions of Buddhism. It is said that the Mansarovar yatra gets completed, once the person touches these inscriptions. Pay homage at the site and delight in the blissful aura of this serene place. Afterward, you will board a vehicle to visit Darchen. It is a 3 hours road journey to Darchen. On arrival, check into a guesthouse and relax.

Have a lip-smacking dinner at the guesthouse and enjoy an overnight stay in Darchen.

Distance from Zuthulphuk to Mani Walls: 12 km (trek.)

Travel Time: 3 hours (approx.)

On day 9, start your day with a delicious breakfast and then check-out from your accommodation. Later, proceed towards Hilsa via Purang. Board the vehicle and start your journey. Admire the mesmerizing scenery en route. Upon reaching Hilsa, check in at a guesthouse and take some rest. If time and energy permit, you can explore the town on your own and get a sneak peek into the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Savor the delicious meal and enjoy an overnight stay at the guesthouse in Hilsa.

Distance from Darchen to Hilsa: 25 km

Travel Time: 1 hour (approx.)

In the morning, after having breakfast you will check out from the hotel to proceed towards the Hilsa helipad. Fly from Hilsa to Simikot and then you will arrive in Nepalgunj. Later, get transferred to the airport to board the flight back to Kathmandu. On your arrival in Kathmandu, you will have an assisted transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax after the tiresome but fulfilling Yatra.

This is the last day of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by helicopter. Wake up to a delicious breakfast and pack your bags. Later, check out from the hotel and proceed to the Kathmandu Airport to board the flight back home.
